The XM5s also come with exceptional noise cancelling, which ramps up automatically to combat the sounds of commuters and airplanes.
They are excellent in reducing low-frequency sounds like bus rumbles, as well as mid- and treble-range sounds such as passenger chatter and conversations in an office with a lot of activity. They're not as adept in cancelling out high frequencies like the lower bass of Foo Fighters, or treble from Miles Davis recordings. The XM3s also have a more comfortable design than the PX with smaller headbands and soft ear cups that don't clamp your ears as hard.
7. Sony WH-1000XM2
